SKATER PROFILE OF THE WEEK: CORY KENNEDY



Cory Kennedy is an American skateboarder based in Lake Stevens, Washington. He started skateboarding at a young age, but first came to prominence after winning the "Bang Yoself 2" amateur video submission contest put on by noted skateboarding community The Berrics. He subsequently finished in third place at the "Battle at the Berrics 2" SKATE contest, losing only to Paul Rodriguez. Since he defeated Torey Pudwill in the 3rd place bracket (he defeated Pudwill with a Nollie Gazelle Flip), he got 3rd place in the Battle at the Berrics 2 without getting the opportunity to face Chris Cole. He won the MVP award for Trasher's King of the Road 2010.
Even more recently, Kennedy garnered national attention with the invention of a new skateboarding trick that he dubbed the "Merlin Twist"
Cory Kennedy is a living testament to the endless progression of skateboarding, as his abilities encompass all that was previously left to video games, fingerboards, and our imaginations. Cory burst onto the scene after an amazing display in the Berrics'
